Grrrrrrrrrrrr, how many times have I heard this? Why do people think that cameras are the only ingredient of a good photograph?
Does a camera drive itself to an interesting location?
Does a camera know how to compose an image?
Does a camera know what depth of field to use?
Does a camera know how you want the scene in front of you lit?
Does a camera know when the right moment to press the shutter is?
NO! The photographer does! Do people say to carpenters, that’s a nice table you’ve made, you must have a really good hammer? NO! So why do people attribute good photographs to good cameras?
