I first visited both Clipstone and Pleasley Colliery on the same day in March 2009 and while Clipstone was my priority this time I thought I’d pay a quick visit to Pleasley as it was only 25 minutes away.

Back in 2009 I was years away from starting my headgear typology but while I had the foresight to take a side on view of clipstone i only managed a wider side in view of Pleasley and it was against the sun so didn’t work very well.

Recent photos of Pleasley that I’d seen showed it to have witnessed significant tree growth in the intervening 15 years so I was unsure of my chances of getting any side on views but it was worth a go as I was in the area anyway.

So not as successful as I’d hoped but I’ve got one usable image (below) for the next iteration of the typology.
